This Cookie Policy explains how ZikVid, Inc. ("ZikVid," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of Moar Nation, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Moar Nation platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and describes, in detail, the specific cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owners. In addition to cookies, we use related technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels, which we refer to collectively as "cookies" throughout this policy unless otherwise noted.

2. Your Cookie Choices

When you first visit the Platform, you will see a cookie consent banner powered by our consent management platform. This banner lets you accept or reject cookies by category:

  • —Necessary: always active, as the Platform cannot function without them.
  • —Measurement: optional, off by default until you consent.
  • —Marketing: optional, off by default until you consent.

Until you make a choice (or if you decline), Google Consent Mode signals for measurement and marketing cookies are set to "denied," which limits the data that Google-related services can collect. You can change your preferences at any time by reopening the cookie preferences dialog, typically available via a link in the footer of the Platform, or by clearing your cookies through your browser settings, which will cause the banner to reappear on your next visit.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly through their settings. Note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Platform, such as signing in or completing a purchase, from working correctly.

3. Cookies We Use

3.1 Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Platform to operate and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, staying signed in, or setting your cookie preferences.

  • —Session and authentication cookies (e.g. auth-storage, access_token, refresh_token): keep you signed in and identify your account securely across requests.
  • —Consent preference cookie: remembers the cookie choices you have made so we do not ask again on every visit.
  • —Payment session cookies: set by Stripe during checkout to securely process donations, contributions, and purchases. See Section 3.4 below.

3.2 Measurement Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Platform so we can improve it. They are only set once you consent.

  • —Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-T5C4PQG3): loads and manages the analytics and measurement tags used across the Platform. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies, but it can trigger tags (such as Google Analytics) that do, once you have consented to measurement cookies.
  • —These tags may collect information such as pages viewed, time spent on the Platform, referring pages, and general device and browser information, as described in Section 1.3 of our Privacy Policy.

3.3 Marketing Cookies

These cookies are used to deliver and measure video advertising and, where enabled, promotional content. They are only set once you consent, and only apply to free, ad-supported episodes.

  • —Google Interactive Media Ads (IMA): non-premium episodes play a short video ad before the episode starts, served through Google's IMA SDK. This SDK may set cookies or use similar identifiers to select ads, prevent the same ad from repeating too often, and measure ad performance. Premium episodes and episodes you have unlocked through a contribution do not show ads and do not load the IMA SDK.
  • —Marketing tags loaded through Google Tag Manager, where applicable, to measure the effectiveness of promotional campaigns.

3.4 Payment Cookies (Stripe)

When you make a donation, contribution, or purchase, you are directed to a checkout flow operated by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe sets its own cookies to process your payment securely, detect and prevent fraud, and remember your payment session. These cookies are necessary to complete a transaction and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy, not by us. We do not receive or store your full card details.

4. How Long Cookies Last

Some cookies are "session" cookies, which are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Others are "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device for a set period (typically ranging from a few days up to two years) or until you delete them. Authentication cookies are refreshed periodically while you remain signed in and expire automatically after a period of inactivity. Your consent preference cookie is persistent so that we can remember your choice on future visits.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some of the cookies described above are placed by third parties whose services we embed in the Platform, including Google (Tag Manager and Interactive Media Ads) and Stripe. These third parties may also use the information collected through their cookies for their own purposes, in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control how these third parties use cookies beyond the configuration described in this policy.

6. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and technologies we use, or for legal or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where required by law, ask for your renewed consent.
